David was trained as a registered massage therapist (RMT) through ICT Kikkawa College, and graduated in 2018. He also has a background in reiki and teaching yoga and was certified in both disciplines in 2012 and 2013 respectively.
David’s approach to massage therapy involves a gentle and grounding attunement to your stress and imbalances. He holds a space for your tissues, joints, and nervous system to be deeply nourished with relaxation while you subtly trace new insights. It is his intention to assist you to uncover and resolve the root of your condition and return you to a long-term path of health and wellness.
David is especially skilled at locating and releasing those key knots of tension called trigger points, as well as deeper tissue work. You can expect a holistic approach incorporating the breath, at once creative and deeply attentive.
What is registered massage therapy?
Registered massage therapy, a regulated health profession in Ontario, is generally taught in the method of Swedish massaging. This technique involves long, smooth strokes, kneading, and other movements intent on causing relaxation of the muscles, accomplished by improving circulation to the muscles via the massage, thereby improving oxygen and nutrient supply to the tissues.
