As someone with both personal and professional experience with mental health, I believe strongly in the power of healing from times of hardship. I studied psychology at York University and hold a Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University.
One thing I’ve learned is that everyone’s life experiences are unique. We will collaborate to determine what coping strategies, goals, and helpful tools are best suited to your experiences. I practice from a place of compassion, understanding, and positivity to create a safe space for you. I have worked with individuals living with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, low self-esteem, trauma, grief, and substance use. Building trust and rapport with you is important to me; therefore, my approach is person-centred, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and holistic. By using techniques from Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Mindfulness, I will help empower you to be the expert in your own journey to a peaceful life.
Apart from my career, I enjoy mindfulness meditation, exercise, art, nature, travelling and spending time with loved ones. And, lately, a lot of TV!
