What Can Orthotics Do For You?
If you've never worn orthotics, it isn't surprising that you might not know exactly what they do. And despite what some people will tell you, they are not for everyone. So how can you find out if you'd benefit from wearing a pair? Well, it starts by finding the right person that you can trust, who knows precisely what they're doing. Luckily, at Yellow Gazebo you can see one of our chiropractors to determine whether or not you need orthotics, and we will order for you only the best product to ensure that you get what you need.
Now, truth be told not many of us have perfect feet, but this still doesn't mean we all need orthotics. But at the same time it's important to know that pain almost anywhere in your body might be coming (at least in part) from imbalanced feet, so getting an assessment isn't such a bad idea. Just because you don't have foot pain doesn't mean you don't need to try them - pain in your knees, hips, back and even in your neck might be helped by using orthotics.
A proper assessment will tell you if you have pronated feet (i.e. feet with falling arches), flat feet (no arches), supinated feet (your feet turn out instead of in, like with pronated feet), or if you have high arches. Any of these issues can be corrected with orthotics, and if you suffer from any sort of discomfort in daily life, it can't hurt to give them a try.
