Jennifer supports individuals experiencing life transitions, parent
struggles, workplace stress, imposter syndrome and perfectionism. Jennifer
ensures that individuals have the right tools to deal with these types of
issues and situations that may arise in their daily lives.
Jennifer works with caregivers, including parents, spouses, family members and those who
put others’ needs ahead of their own. Jennifer has a passion for working with
parents and caregivers of young children who struggle to balance the competing
demands of work and childcare so that they can be more emotionally and
physically available for themselves and their loved ones. As a mother of
two boys, she understands the struggles of parenting and the challenges of
balancing work and childcare. She can help you learn self-compassion and
develop self-care practices.
Jennifer is not tied to one particular type of therapeutic modality and does not
subscribe to a one-size-fits-all approach because every client is unique. In
therapy, she invites you into a comfortable and safe place to discuss your
stressors and work collaboratively to develop practical strategies that
can be used in your everyday life. Some approaches she uses include Cognitive
Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment
Therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy.
Jennifer has worked in hospital and community settings for over 15 years. Jennifer
has supported individuals and their families who were struggling with physical,
mental health and caregiving concerns. She has worked with
individuals and their families to navigate the complexities of the healthcare
system and supported them to address various concerns, including caregiver
burden, grief, loss, anxiety and depression.
Jennifer enjoys spending time with family and friends and loves sleeping in when she can
(as a mom of two energetic boys!). When she is not working, she enjoys
outdoor activities, going to a spa, spending time with family and playing retro
video games with her children and husband. She believes in finding the time for
self-care and emphasizes this when working with individuals. She
acknowledges that this can be hard to do but is necessary for one’s mental
health wellness.
