Karla Berganza, RMT, graduated from the Institute of Complementary and Alternative Therapies in 2012. She has experience working with dancers, opera singers, musicians, MVAs and has been working as a doula. Karla has extended experience in repetitive injuries caused by different types of jobs or office related injuries. She loves working with pre and post natal mamas, children and special needs kids as well. Karla has a certificate as an Ayurvedic practitioner, a Sound Therapist and a diploma as Manual Osteopath Practitioner. Karla understands that massage therapy is an integral part of injury, prevention, rehabilitation, and overall health and by using different Ayurvedic techniques and/or sound during the treatment it goes beyond what the client may expect feeling drastic changes in the first session. Karla comes from the Maya and Aztec linage traditions giving her treatments a different approach using this knowledge to help to improve her clients’ wellbeing. When Karla is not working you will find her on stage singing opera, doing sound sessions for the community or enjoying her children rescuing the world!

What is registered massage therapy?

Registered massage therapy, a regulated health profession in Ontario, is generally taught in the method of Swedish massage.  Swedish technique involves long, smooth strokes, kneading, and other movements intent on causing relaxation of the muscles.
