Richard is the owner and clinic director at Yellow Gazebo, and has practiced acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine since 2004. He received his undergraduate degree in Science (Honours) from York University, and then went on to receive (concurrently) an undergraduate degree in Complementary Medicine from Charles Sturt University in Australia (DE) and an Honours diploma in Acupuncture from the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences in Toronto.

Richard interned as an acupuncturist at the Wasser Pain Management Clinic at Mt. Sinai Hospital and in the acupuncture clinic at St. John's Rehabilitation Centre. During his career he has practiced out of Dupont Subway Chiropractic and Palmer Massage Therapy Clinic. He is currently a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac) and Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (R.TCMP) with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners of Ontario (CTCMPAO), and is a member of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Association of Canada (TCMPAC), the Canadian Society of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture (CSCMA), the Canadian Examining Board of Health Care Practitioners (CEBHCP), and the Canadian Council of Certified Acupuncturists (CCCA).

Richard was born in Calgary, Alberta, but grew up in Mississauga and Oakville, then moved to Toronto in 1992. He has spent most of his adult life in the St. Clair West community, and is now raising his two children with his wife Rachel just a few streets away from Yellow Gazebo.

With a life-long passion for healing, Richard dreamed for many years about starting a clinic like Yellow Gazebo Natural Health Care. Richard plans to use his good fortune to help further the ever-growing development of the St. Clair West area, and to develop the clinic into a true center for complementary health care in the community.
